This 8-hour course is intended to introduce the student to the National Electrical Code7 and provide the student with a basic understanding of some key articles, as well as how to do some basic calculations, and how to use Chapter 9 Tables. The material to be covered will include portions of:

Article 210 Branch Circuits
Article 215 Feeders
Article 220 Branch Circuit, Feeder, and Service Calculations
Article 230 Services
Article 240 Overcurrent Protection
Article 250 Grounding
Article 300 Wiring Methods
Article 310 Conductors for General Wiring
Article 314 Outlet, Device, Pull, and Junction Boxes
